PowerFX was established in 1995, and in 1998 CEO Bil Bryant joined the company. Bil, who previously produced sample CDs for Sounds Good, Steinberg and Sonic Foundry, brought knowledge and sound inspiration to PowerFX which has quickly developed over time. The successful sampling CD production started with a few legendary productions (Drummers of Motown and Funkmaster) and instantly acquired a good reputation among musicians and studio professionals for quality and innovation. Since then, PowerFX has gone all over the world to record and create new and interesting sound material.
In the year 2000, PowerFX launched one of the first websites to offer a huge online sound library with both samples and sound effects. The website and back-end system was redesigned and moved to another level one year later. Since the beginning, we have produced more than 40 sampling CDs, 7 sound effects CDs, 2 DVDs, uploaded more than 40,000 sounds in the online Sound Library, and created revolutionary software, like the award winning SoundShuttle and much more.
We have cooperated with and provided sounds for software innovators such as: Apple Computers, Cakewalk, Sony Pictures, Mark of the Unicorn, Propellerheads, Steinberg, Sounds Good, Bias, Denon, IK Multimedia, Visiosonic, Voice Crystal, TC Electronics and the list goes on. Many production studios use our Sound Library on daily basis, including Swedish Television.
